business support scheme

The Business Support Scheme is offered by the Institute of Independent Business to allow companies:

  • Access to one of the largest skills networks in the world thus creating a one stop shop for all business needs

  • Fixed monthly cost for all consultancy, advice and implementation

  • Free unlimited access to a dedicated Associate

What is it?

As a registered charity the Institute of Independent Business (IIB) offers help to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).  The scheme is run at a subsidised rate (of up to 50%) for 16 hours per month.  Once a company is accepted on the scheme an accredited associate is appointed to work with this company.

It is hoped that the relationship will be long and profitable but there are no time restrictions once you are part of the scheme.

Who qualifies?

Any company that has between 5 and 250 employees  could be accepted on the scheme.  An assessment has to be carried out by an associate to ensure that the company will benefit—and that those benefits will be at least the cost of the scheme.

Two hours with the Managing Director or other decision maker is all that is needed to see if your company could apply.  To set up a meeting please contact us.

Who are the associates?

All the associates working for the IIB have gone through a rigorous 4 step selection process.  Associates have come from the world of business and have all previously held senior executive positions.

Selection includes one to one interviews and extensive group work and culminates in a residential business school.  Once accredited the associates then have continuous support from the IIB to ensure they are up to date with current business practices and regulations.
